Was sent an email invite to an event in the West of Scotland about Generations Working Together. It is being supported by the Scottish Centre for Intergenerational Practice, which I had never come across before - http://www.scotcip.org.uk/ - they work with public, private and voluntary sector organisations, as well as individuals and families, to gather and share best practice, provide information and support, and develop new opportunities for intergenerational working in communities - this fits perfectly with the Transition movement, in particular the reskilling and respecting the elders elements - there are alos equivalent centres in England - the Beth Johnston Foundation Centre for Intergenerational Practice http://www.centreforip.org.uk/ and in Wales - the Cymru Centre for Intergenerational Practice http://www.ccip.org.uk/ - anyone had any dealings with these organisations?
