<description>&#60;p&#62;Try contacting your local Voluntary Action Office, or the external and internal funding advisers at your local council. Grass roots grants are currently available and don't forget the Awards for All and Big Lottery local food grants. Money will become available next year through the Sustainable Communities Act. Lots of pots out there, but as always with funding it is easier to get money for a project that for the day to day stuff like staff and overheads. Have you tried grantfinder and fitforfunding websites?

&#60;p&#62;I have asked all these funders if they are open to applications from other transition places at this time, but all except Artists' Project Earth said they are very unlikely to fund other transition related work at this time. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Note that the Tudor Trust are a key funder of the Transition Network overall and are highly likely to fund other transition work at this time.

<description>&#60;p&#62;This forum will be used primarily to provide a level of informal communication and co-operation between different transition initiatives. This will avoid us all going after the same funders, and will help us identify where joint bids might make more sense. At the Transition Network conference, a funding co-ordination process was proposed and we (the group in the funding workshop) decided we would try it out.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Over the next few weeks, details of the process will be posted here, along with information about successful/unsuccesful funding bids... &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Does anyone want to volunteer to moderate this forum? &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Fiona Ward, Transition Town Totnes (FionaWardTTT@googlemail.com) - please note I am not taking on a central funding co-ordination role, just trying to set up a means by which we can all share info about what we are doing.
