We are currently a small group of volunteers aiming to start a town-wide community response to the challenges of climate change and peak oil. We want to bring together the collective skills and creativity in Wolverton to create an Community Energy Transition Plan - a pathway to a low carbon sustainable future for our town.
If you would like to be kept in touch or would like to get involved in any way please send us an email (transition.wolverton@googlemail.com).

Energy Saving Open House Event
Wolverton and Greenleys have been chosen by the Energy Savings Trust (EST) to be one of their ‘Green Communities’. Working with EST the Transition Wolverton Energy Group are organising an open house event for local residents wanting to showcase the energy saving measures they have implemented in their homes and thereby help others make similar savings.
The event will take place on: Sunday 11th July 2010 between 2 and 5pm
Energy saving measures might include steps taken to change behaviour to reduce energy use, improve efficiency (e.g. solid wall insulation, secondary glazing, draft exclusion etc) or a renewable energy installation such as solar water or wood pellet heating.
Details can be found here.
