We achieved Transition Status in December 2007 after first forming as a group in September 2007.
All are welcome to our public meetings and events in Whitstable and to join our emailing list - see details below.
Our Mission Statement:
Aim: Transition Town Whitstable aims to reduce its carbon footprint and dependency on fossil fuels.
We will achieve our aim by:-
- Mobilising community action
- Raising awareness, providing information and empowering action
- Networking with groups and people already engaged in these issues
- Identifying and setting up positive action projects to reduce our carbon footprint and dependency on fossil fuels
- Creating a plan for the future - an Energy Descent Action Plan

Forthcoming Events 2008
May: Social event at Duke of Cumberland, Whitstable - we are starting up a social evening for exchange of ideas and networking. We would like to make this a regular event perhaps monthly.
TTW will be meeting in the resturant area of the Duke of Cumberland Whitstable on:
Monday 12 May from 7:00pm
