There are a host of facts available on this subject and Richard's presentations and write up provide all the main ones. Additionally, in order to keep up to date with the latest facts, a great resource is the Energy Bulletin.
The key message from this session was that sceptics can only be convinced using facts and that the "because I'm worth it" culture makes some of these facts very difficult to hear. In this case, it might be better to use a question, such as "How would ------ look after oil?"
