Transition Cities Conference 2008

Stop press!!

133 people squeezed into the Bolero suite in Nottingham's Ice Arena for two days of transition feasting.

All the write ups from the conference are complete and we've even got some videos on that page as well.

About the event

The event will be held at the Nottingham Arena, Bolero Square, The Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1LA. The conference will run from 10:00 am on Thursday 27-November through to 14:00 on Friday 28 November.

We want to thank the Nottingham City Council for their generous support of the Conference.

Purpose of Conference

This event is a gathering of those who have been testing the Transition model in the cities, an Open Space conference to draw together and share ideas and insights, tools and techniques, exploring what works and what doesn’t in urban Transition. This event needs your energy, your insights and thoughts, and will be designed so as to produce a new set of Principles and Steps for Transition in Cities.

Conference programme

Here's the latest version of the provisional programme for the Conference (in pdf). Please note that this programme is still provisional, and the workshops may still move around slightly.

We will be putting up the final one in the next few days.

The conference will be a mix of open space and workshops. We want to thank everyone who has offered to do a workshop.
