"Stroud’s first Walking Festival will take place this September, 2007, from Saturday the 8th until Sunday the 16th.

It has been organised by Stroud Town Council in partnership with a host of local environmental and educational groups and organisations. They hope to build the festival into a major annual event.

Over a dozen walks have been organised this year. Each walk will be led by a trained guide, with knowledge of their respective routes. They all take place in or close to Stroud"

Living Streets is a national "campaign for streets that are more people-friendly and less dominated by traffic"
