Password to edit pages

To edit pages in the Transition Towns website you need to enter the password:

ttwiki

(We have introduced this to stop vandalism by spam robots and other malicious scripts.)

A few key pages need an administrator password - let us know if you're having trouble:

Basic Editing

Read this guide to find out how to make new pages, format text, put in headings etc.

How do I delete a page?

Go to edit the page. Select and delete all the text. Then just type in the word: delete

Then click save! Easy. A copy of the page still exists on the server so it can be restored if necessary.

Uploading images and documents

1. Go to the page where you want the image to appear
2. Click Upload
3. Upload the image you want (first make sure it's resized and the name has no space in it).
4. When it's uploaded you can then click 'Edit Page' to edit the page you want it to appear in.
5. Simply enter
   Attach:filename.jpg
6. To have the image on the left with the text wrapped round it, use:
   %lfloat% Attach:filename.jpg
7. To have the image on the right with the text wrapped round it, use:
   %rfloat% Attach:filename.jpg
8. That's it! Easy!
9. If you want to add a caption, use:
   %lfloat% Attach:filename.jpg | '''Figure 1'''
10. If you want to use a thumbnail linked to a full size version, use:
    %thumb rfloat% [[Attach:filename.jpg | Attach:filename.jpg"Click for Big version"]]
