Inaugural meeting 21 May 2007

The TTL Water Group met for the first time on Monday 21st May 2007 to raise questions and share expectations of what the Group ought to achieve. Members of the Group have agreed to research particular areas of interest individually, and to meet again to share findings within a month. It is the intention of the Group to have put together an accurate Energy Descent Action Plan within a year at the latest.

We question:

  1. “What are we using fossil fuels for where water is concerned?”
  2. “Where and how is the fossil fuel involved in water use-age being wasted?”
  3. “Where and how is the water (that is available to us with fossil fuel use) being wasted?”
  4. “Are there any viable alternatives to our use of fossil fuels in our use of water?”
  5. “What can be done, in theory, to reduce our water dependency upon fossil fuel to the greatest extent?”
  6. “What are the most necessary and effective things that can be done practically to reduce fossil fuel use in the next 10 years in relation to water?”
  7. “What further safeguards might it be possible to achieve by reducing fossil fuel use in the interests of water security in Lewes?”

Please get in touch with the group if you wish to be involved.
