TTL Forum
The TTL Forum is a monthly meeting of anyone from the TTL Groups. The contact person from each group is invited as is any other member of a TTL group.
The purpose of the meeting is to share learnings, examine issues, and solve practical problems together. This meeting is one way in which the groups in TTL can collaborate.
It is also one of the places where issues around the aims and objectives of TTL can be discussed and steps forward agreed.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, not just the group Contact Points. TTL is not a hierarchical organisation - there is no single leader in TTL, and this group is not the group "running" TTL. It is not a decision making group, with the exception that Group is one way of agreeing changes and improvements to the TTL Principles.
Instead decisions are made by individuals in TTL and by the Groups in which they are. In TTL everyone leads. This is one reason why consultation and collaboration are so important.
The Process
The Forum is usually held the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm.
The dates are set for the year ahead.
Please contact one of the Group Contact Points for the location as this sometimes changes from month to month.
The next chair of the meeting is usually agreed at the previous meeting.
The chair sends out a reminder in good time. There is a Google Groups mailing list for this purpose - please ask one of the contact points if you wish to be added to this list.
Agenda items can be sent in advance to the chair.
If no one from a Group can attend it usually helps if a written update is sent instead.
The Agenda for the meeting is agreed at the beginning of the meeting. Sometimes there is an update from each Group.
If appropriate, notes from the meetings can be posted here. They can also be sent to the Google Groups mailing list.
