Priory School Session

Transition Town Lewes is working with Priory School. On 27 February 2007 a team of us attended an assembly of 240 year 10 students. They loved Keith’s assembly and then engaged noisily in two-by-two discussions before breaking up into class groups. We conducted a post-it note exercise where they suggested ways in which they could help their school reduce its fossil fuel consumption. A week later, on 6th March, a smaller group of TTL facilitators brought together 16 ambassadors – two from each class - to create a mind-map of the problems facing their school and all conceivable solutions. Transition Town Lewes's Schools group has since formed and are meeting and supporting Priory and other local schools (see Schools Group)
