What inspired and excited me today?

  • the permaculture and forest garden discussions
  • finding out about the Community Land Trust
  • increasing awareness of permaculture
  • the idea to write an article about organisations in Lewes and their responses to climate change
  • wanted to go to all sessions, would like more open space events, very inspired and grateful for this event
  • inspired, excited and overwhelmed by today, thinking about what I can do, like the idea of finding information and basing the energy descent action plan on good ideas, inspired by the idea of everyone finding out about what interests them and sharing it
  • felt inspired by today, wondering how to get people on board, was reminded of the idea to use stories to present the issues
  • found it stimulating and appreciated open space, the non-hierarchical structure, where everyone can contribute, creativity and change, liked the idea of building a resource/skills register of those involved in TTL
  • usually feel disempowered in the face of the scale of change we have to make, but felt empowered today, realised I am a member of a group in Lewes which is advising developers, I can make a difference!
  • encouraged that we are a group of people who have the means to make a change and not a self-interested discussion group and the food was very good!
  • was moved by the open space process, sensed a great power in the room, found hope, creating an energy descent plan is tangible, felt pleased and relieved
  • impressed that so many people gave up their Saturday to come to this open space day
  • realised this is our plan, on our own terms
  • impressed that so many people were prepared to spend their Saturday in this way
  • felt inspired, realising on the one hand the difficulty of the process of change and on the other hand how easy it is
  • liked working with people rather than to someone else’s agenda
  • we are living a story and was inspired that we can change that story, would like to look at our own resources, experience what each of us can contribute and thus spread those resources, interested in change management and personal development
  • pleased to be a part of an open space in English (have been to many in Austria), just visiting and not involved here but involved in another place, will take things with me and hopefully bring a gift: the dialogue process
  • would like to see this process extending outwards, was very good to participate today and have my voice heard
  • feeling reenergised and reinspired about TTL, found the open space glued people together, enabled us to make connections, felt more confident
  • feel that it is very important to engage with politics and policies, local and national politicians
