Cycling in Lewes: can’t remove hills in Lewes but we can make cyclists safer, eg cycle paths, priority for cyclists at traffic lights, safe cycle crossings of major roads, 20mph areas.
Secure storage of bikes
Incentives to cycle, eg Free bike for every 7 year old? Present government tax incentives are feeble.
It can be done: 500% increase in cycling in Brighton in past 5-10 years.
Get kids on bikes: cycling proficiency in schools
