Transition Town Lewes Heart & Soul Group says “only connect!”

The Druid and the Priest – touching the hidden gold

Human hearts and souls are hard-wired to the cycle of the seasons. But most of us need to re-connect. Maybe our knowing the biology and astronomy of Spring has destroyed its mystery. So do you want to sleep through these annual miracles in a chocolate-induced haze? Or do you sense it’s a magical time and want to find a way of celebrating it? Does the possibility of re-awaking your connection to the great cycles of Earth and Sky appeal to you?

If it does then join us on April 10th, a Saturday afternoon when we will be bringing together two expert celebration-makers - Mark Townsend a Christian priest, and our ever-popular leading Druid Philip Carr-Gomm - to help us create a post-modern celebration of renewal.

Please book soon because this will be a very special workshop and numbers have to be limited to around thirty. We would like you to bring along something that you feel represents renewal, and to think of a time when you’ve felt renewed, and to bring your story along. The workshop will be held in the fabulous old Tin Tabernacle* near Barcombe, ending with a show of magic from Mark himself, a man whom no less a master of illusion than Uri Geller called ‘amazing and inspirational!’ Having seen what he does we feel this is an understatement.

To book call Sue on 07855 777715 or email suemfleming@hotmail.com

How does Heart and Soul fit in with TTL?

We aim to offer people the opportunity to explore personal and inner change, in response to the outer environmental change at this transitional time.

We aim to provide safe spaces where people can connect and express through mind, heart and soul, their personal experience in response to the ups and downs of transition.

We aim to promote meaningful events to provide a platform for connection and to build a supportive and resilient community.

We are inclusive and welcome people from all walks of life, we are an integral part of TTL and are available as a resource.

INNER TRANSITIONS

As we undergo who knows what kind of change in the coming months and years, how will we respond mentally, emotionally and spiritually to these changes. What support do we have as a community that is uniting and accessible to all?

In response to this question, as an on-going initiative the Heart and Soul group are holding monthly sessions. (see below) They are loosely structured, to create a safe, open and confidential space, so that individuals can share whatever arises from mind, heart and soul, in an atmosphere of mutual acceptance.
