The assemblies in Priory Secondary school run by the young people and also Ringmer College were a great success and formed the backbone of Priory's new Eco-club. We are continuing to support Priory School's now established Eco club, i hear thier eco-board is now revamped!
The students have met with senior management to discuss ways forward of making a difference in recycling and energy consumption within thier school.
We have plans to run four workshops on subjects that the young people choose and 4 outings over the next six months - including Woodfair in September (with Ringmer Community College).
We are co-developing a Community event to be held at Priory in late September, and hopefully bring TTL groups and surrounding community to celebrate what is happening at Priory and beyond.
The young people have a small budget to make a film about this community event and thier school - they will be running the project themselves.
We are developing an Eco-pack for 20 east sussex schools in collaboration with Steve Green from Ringmer College who has continued to support and advise the eco-school's in sussex and beyond.
We are beginning to develop a project that works with Transition Town's Energy Group to see if funding can be secured to install Priory and South Downs College with renewable energy technology.
