Peak Oil hits the news
TTL on You and Yours
A couple of weeks ago a journalist spent the day in Lewes talking to us about Transition Town Lewes. The result was a feature on Radio 4's You and Yours yesterday. One of the lovely outcomes was that when the journalist interviewed four people in the street about Transition Town Lewes they were all aware of it and enthusiastic!
Transition Groups
The transition groups are taking Transition Town Lewes forwards creating an energy descent action plan to respond to the challenges of climate change and peak oil. They are now are forming and meeting. See our website for an up to date list of the groups, their contact details and bulletins about their activities.
There have been two big meetings of the core group and the group contacts so far. At the last meeting we heard how everyone was getting on – from just forming to researching to planning projects – and we began discussing our roles, energy descent planning and the TTL autumn events programme. Many felt very inspired and excited about TTL.
If you are interested in getting involved in an existing group or starting a new transition group, have a look at the transition groups page on our website.
