2025 – the negative scenario
no parking, cold, wet, stormy, Cliffe flooded, hungry, frightened, tension, anxiety, hording, not open, someone’s died, poor air quality, crime, dogs, not communicating, inequality, gated communities, fear for children, gangs, hopelessness, suffering, suspicion, devisiveness, anger against authorities, lack of trust, rigid politics, brutality, fascism, central control, infrastructure breaks down, central control, financial chaos, anarchy, competition instead of cooperation, abuse of resources, loss of connection with the divine, nature destroyed, survivalist, short-term thinking
why did this happen?
didn’t oppose, didn’t speak up, didn’t work together, weren’t inclusive, didn’t acknowledge our fear and feelings, didn’t do anything, didn’t get involved, gave up
what message would we send back to ourselves in 2008?
communicate, cooperate, trust in others more, engage more widely be inclusive, change priorities
