The economic revival of Lewes - an open space day

Saturday 27th October, Southover School, 10am - 4pm, free, lunch available

Following Molly Scott Cato’s talk on Wednesday this open space day built on the themes ‘Local Money, Local Skills, Local Power’. The purpose was to address what we can do to build a sustainable, fair and healthy economy in Lewes. More critically we want to live our lives to their fullest potential to THRIVE rather than merely survive.

Hosted by the Business and Currency Group and skillfully facilitated by Kristina, supported by Zoe and Patrick, we addressed the question “How will we thrive locally in a world with less oil?”

Many thanks to all those who took part and generated the wealth of ideas and issues, to all those who set up the day, who prepared the excellent food and to those who facilitated the day. For those who would like to discuss and take the issues, ideas and suggestions further the Business and Currency Group meets informally most Tuesday nights at 8pm at the Lewes Arms. We hope to see you there.
