A positive community response to the challenges of climate change and the end of cheap oil.
Transition Town Lewes is a community response to the challenges of climate change and the end of cheap oil. Around twenty Transition Groups have formed around issues such as energy, food, housing and transport, and many practical initiatives from these Groups are already underway. We are also developing a "Pathway to a Positive Future" - a path of action to increase our resilience as oil becomes much more expensive. Transition Town Lewes also organises an ongoing programme of events and reskilling courses.

Transition Town Lewes is part of a larger network of Transition Towns across the UK and Ireland.
