EDAP Group meeting 25th June 2008

the EDAP process

  • Chloe brought along the relevant pages from the Transition Network's Primer document as well as Chapter 14 of Bill Mollison's Designers' Manual on the resource template
  • we identified roles of the group:
    • pulling the groups' work together
    • building up a resource picture
    • ideas bank
    • liaising with the local council
    • engaging with the community, groups and individuals
  • if the funding bid is successful it will be a great boost to the process
  • we noted the importance of the power of vision
  • noted that the Transition Tales project needs support
  • children's visioning was agreed to be an essential part of the process (Chloe will contact Marina on their work in Priory)
  • suggestion that the autumn programme may be useful for the process of community engagement

  • Kate is presenting to the funders tomorrow and we will hear tomorrow if we have been successful
  • we agreed to write a job description and manage the post

  • groups' presentations of their progress on the EDAP and the groups' activities and projects so far and in the pipeline
  • feedback from the EDAP Group
  • in smaller groups, two questions: what is your vision for the group and what are your next steps?
  • Chloe will send out the invitation to the contact people and ttl active and will follow up any who don't reply
