Local Economy

The local economy group was created in early 2009. The idea behind the group is that it will look at:

  • changes we need to make to the local economy such as finance (including local currency)
  • new business opportunities resulting from our lower energy-intensive lifestyles
  • alternative business models that work on the principles of local sustainability and social justice
