Transition Leicester Jobshop
If you're inspired by the idea of making the community you live in into a sustainable, resilient and joyful place to be, and you'd like to do that under the Transition banner, there's no shortage of ways to get involved with Leicester's Transition project.
This Jobshop page is here to share info on everything from small tasks that people would like help with, to bigger tasks that require a bit more time and energy (and are usually that bit more interesting and exciting). It'll be used by the steering group and other Transition Leicester groups to ask for help, although it's open for anyone involved to whatever degree with Transition Leicester to put down their ideas.
We think every contribution to this process is valuable, whether it's an ongoing commitment to a Transition group or a one-off bit of help with an event, so we hope that we can offer a way of getting involved that suits everyone.
Don't forget though that the Transition process is all about taking initiative, so don't feel limited by what's on offer here - we'd love everyone to imagine what projects or tasks they'd like doing and then get on with making them happen!

| Co-ordinating the Transition leicester library. This will start from January 2009 at the Transition cafe. The co-ordinator would be the point of contact for any enquiries, responsible for arranging volunteers to staff the library at each cafe, responsible for deciding on how the library works and for potentially buying new resources to lend out. | Putting together paper newsletter. We're largely communicating using the internet at present, so people who don't use email are potentially being excluded.
