Reports

Our draft Timeline, covering almost everything we've done from late 2009 until January 2010. Download it here.

In March 2009, we submitted some ideas to Leicester City Council on how they could potentially use the Sustainable Communities Act, based upon brainstorming from members of Transition Leicester and Leicester Friends of the Earth. Read them here.

In December 2008, we held our first TGM - an event where we aimed to take stock of what we've done so far and plan for the future. You can read a write-up of the results of the TGM and the online survey that went alongside it here.

As part of the TGM process, we put together a timeline, which shows in a simple and attractive way pretty much all the things we had done over the previous year. You can view the timeline here

In October 2008 we responded to another consultation document on the proposed Local Development Framework for Leicester. Read our submission here.

The Transition food group put together a short Position Statement in September 2008, talking about the history of food production in Leicestershire, the current vulnerability to Peak Oil of our current food supply, and what the food group intends to do about it. Read it here.

In September 2008, we put together a report called "From Ecotown to Transition Town" detailing an alternative vision for the proposed Leicestershire Ecotown site. You can keep up to date with what's happening with our Ecotown response here. Download "From Ecotown to Transition Town"

In August 2008, we submitted a response to Leicester City Council's consultation on the tests it should use for the proposed Ecotown near the city. Download "Tests for the Ecotown consultation response".

In February 2008, we responded to Leicester City Council's call for Big Ideas for the city's long-term development. Read this for a thorough description of why we think Climate Change and Peak Oil are such important issues, and to hear about our ideas for the future of Leicester. Download Big Ideas

In November 2007, we submitted a response to Leicester City Council's Local Development Framework (LDF) consultation. The LDF focusses on the planning role of the council, and our response talks about the actions that we think Leicester City Council's planning department should carry out over coming years, if it is to properly take Peak Oil and Climate Change mitigation into account.
