Our first event, and a thoroughly inspiring night for all that attended.
We kicked things off with a song of welcoming that we sung together, heard about Climate Change, Peak Oil and the Transition idea, and watched the film A Convenient Truth.
This film shows some of the inspring work that has recently been done in the Brazilian city of Curitiba, to both reduce fossil fuel use and make the city a better place to live. We watched the film in four 10-minute pieces, and after each section formed small groups to discuss the ideas that the film gave us for reducing fossil fuel use in Leicester. We'll shortly collate the ideas and thoughts we collected and add them to this page.
