The Community Composting Scheme has been welcomed by the residents of Roseabbey Park, Kinsale, where the first community composter will be located shortly. This will be community run and supervised, and the compost generated from the residents' organic waste will be available to the residents for their gardens and it is hoped will also be used to enhance community garden projects around the town.
Any community in Kinsale, housing estates, apartment complexes, terraces or otherwise who may be interested in their own community composting project should contact TTK.
Dan and Eddie will be running a workshop/ meitheal to build 4 New Zealand Composters over the summer once the site has been approved by the Town Council.
