Kinsale Community Powerdown 2008

Kinsale Community Powerdown 2008 was launched at the Spring Fair by Trevor Sargent TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development. We are looking for individual households, businesses and other organistions who would like to take part in making small pledges and changes to reduce their carbon footprints, energy consumption and save money.

For more information contact: Elizabeth Creed (087 2894077 or lizcreed@eircom.net).

Wild Food Walks

Ever wanted to find out what you could munch on when out in the countryside with nary a café, shop nor a snack bar around for miles?

Come on one of our Wild Food Walks and learn about food that’s growing out there in the fields and hedgerows. We aim to have one these every month or so, depending on the season, on a Saturday morning.

The best way to find out is come to a public meeting (third Thursday of every month, 7pm in Hamlet’s) which is when we plan them or join our emailing list at:

www.groups.google.com/group/transition_town_kinsale

and we’ll send you a reminder.
