Heart and soul
Our Transition Town needs an artistic and spiritual base. We seek volunteers to create it.
Songs
John F: how about starting a list of songs to accompany Transition? We could play it at some events (so make them songs you actually like). I'll start off: Let Me Down Easy (e.g. Dennis Brown; just right for the energy descent); Good World (Martha Tilston); The Carnival is Over (Seekers); Let It Grow (Clapton); Your Feet's Too Big (Fats Waller - just made for the ecofootprint); I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor); Out of Time (Stones); We Can Work it Out (Beatles); With A Little Help From My Friends (Beatles); It's Now or Never (Elvis)...

Spiritual journey
For some of us, this is also a spiritual journey that includes singing, dancing and meditating in order to understand and become part of what is increasingly recognised as the "good life" or Eudaimonia.
A quotation from the "Be the change" group: "I am committed to creating an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on this planet as an idea whose time has come".
"In much that we do, we cause harm to the planet and each other without enriching our lives"
Storytelling This is at the heart of the transition town movement.
Meditation

- Dancing meditation - some of us go to 5Rhythms in Kew on a Friday night, no experience needed. Details from jayneblackman@talktalk.net.
