Kenmore District started in July 2008 as Small Steps for Sustainable Suburbs with a public meeting organised by a few Kenmore neighbours in response to concerns about the combined effects of Peak Oil and Climate Change. After these initial meetings it was decided to evolve the group into a Transition Town.
The group celebrated its first birthday in July 09. Outcomes since the group's formation include a farmers market, solar HWS and solar voltaic buying groups, monthly educational meetings, talks to local groups, permablitzes, groundwork for community garden and a couple of gardening workshops
Our regular meetings are on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. 7:30pm Uniting Church Hall 982 Moggill Rd Kenmore
