Transition is a different sort of movement. It’s not about leaving it to someone else to fix things for us. It’s about deciding where we want to go as a community, then doing the things that will get us there.
Transition is totally inclusive. There’s no ‘them and us’ about it. Because ‘them and us’ doesn’t work and isn’t rooted in reality. Whether we’re young or old, well-off or hard-up, working for a small charity or a big corporation, we’re all people. And we’re all going to be affected by peak oil and climate change.
So now’s the time to wake up to the challenges and take action to solve them. Transition starts with each and every one of us. And we need to get going right now: together.
