http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu_MvGdMzo8

Everyone enjoyed the film. It would be good to show the film to local groups – Political Groups, Churches etc..

Action: ALL to spread the word Action: Sarah to contact Chris Seward re viewing for Harborough Improvement Team

2. Working With The Council

Ian and Darren had recently had an introductory meeting with Thomas Day from HDC on the LSP/LAA, it was possible that TTMH could provide environmental input on the LSP. There may be funding opportunities here as well. It would also be very useful for the TTSG to have members with an understanding of how the LSP/LAA process worked!

Action: Ian and Darren to get familiar with Local Government processes and be TTSG interface with the Council

3. Projects For 2010

It was proposed that the TTSG should limit the number of projects it gets involved with over the year, the main focus would be given to the following projects:

i. Food Buying Group

ii. Energy Group To kick-off a sub-group that will look at Energy issues, which could include teach-ins on renewable energy for home & community, energy-monitoring and energy-saving tips for example.

Action: Mark to send E-mail out to seek date for a first meeting.

iii. Sustainability Fair At some point in the future we should organise an exhibition with trade stands on sustainability, including renewable energy and energy-saving technologies plus other things ….

iv. Awareness Raising Activity A need to continue educational activity re Transition Towns and Peak Oil. Action: Mark to contact library about book display & exhibition

V, Allotments& Gardens There is on-going activity in this area which should continue, Lydya had her heart nut trees planted in Welland Park.
