1. Newcombe Street Orchard Cleanup

Will take place on Sat 28th Feb from 10.00am, photo call at 10.30.

ACTION: ALL encouraged to attend

2. Food Buying Group

ACTION: Sarah to arrange a meeting of those people interested.

ACTION: Sarah -To get updated information on buying from Leicester Wholefood Co-op & Daily Bread

3, Planning For Future Food Security In Harborough

f3 Group from Transition Stroud are looking for pilot towns for food security planning process they have developed, requires matched funding to pay for. It is suggested that we could have a day workshop with f3 group for Council, farmers, and interested parties.

ACTION: Sarah to contact Clr Sarah Hill to get a suitable contact at the Council

3. Fund Raising

Special meeting to be arranged to discuss application for funding from “Awards For All”. TT Lewes had successfully obtained money this way.

Will take place at Darren’s on Monday Feb 16th

4. Skills Exchange

Also includes the idea of encouraging volunteering for community projects, will be useful for people in these days of rising unemployment and rising living costs. Needs to be discussed with Volunteer Bureau when Marion is back from holiday in March.

5. Garden Dating

We should encourage the shared use of gardens and allotments. Publicize C4 Landshare website: http://www.landshare.net/

6. Tree Planting

Lydya agreed to lead this project with Mark’s assistance. The aim will be to focus on the woodland trust tree planting week in October, planting trees on Ashley Way and Roman Way green spaces.

Action: Lydya to arrange visits to these sites.

7. HDC In Touch Magazine

Sarah has drafted article for the In Touch magazine.

Action: Sarah to update and circulate for comment.

8. HDC Peak Oil Motion

Action: Sarah/Darren to pursue with Clr. Sarah Hill, Alistair Swatridge and Simon Galton

9. Seedy Sunday at Foxton

Sunday March 15th at Foxton there will be a seed-exchange event

10. Talk To Local Co-Op Party

Action: Ian/Darren to arrange
