0. Welcome Margaret from Naseby and Susan from Rothwell attended their first TT meeting.

1. AGM Report The AGM was held on 23.9.08 at the Cherry Tree. Steering Group posts were agreed: Treasurer - Darren Woodiwiss Secretary - Mark Baverstock

Interest was expressed at the AGM in finding out about “nonviolent communication” as a group activity. http://www.cnvc.org/

Action: Marion to follow-up with Leicester contact

2. Bob Flowerdew Event Bob Flowerdew from BBC Gardener’s Question time has been invited by the TT Group to give a public talk at Welland Park College on November 15th.

3. Planning & Funding Events It was agreed by all that a lot more planning and preparation needs to be done in advance for any future events. It was also agreed that a formal procedure needs to be developed for proposals for future TT events. It should consider : - how do we agree if a project should go ahead or not ? - how do we share the liability of an event ? - what do we do with the profits from events ?

Action: Mark to draft and circulate procedure for proposing TT events

An application had been made to the Bowden’s Charities to underwrite the Bob Flowerdew event. This was rejected. We need to follow this up to find out why it wasn’t supported.

4. Ideas For Projects

A list of possible future projects was gathered together at the meeting, this will be considered again at the next full meeting after the Bob Flowerdew event. The idea being to go forwards next year with a small number of agreed projects.
