                 Mark (MB) Sec
                 Darren (DW)
                 Marion (MT)
                 Simon (SC)

1. Counc. Swatridge had proposed that the group work with him and FOE on a packaging campaign in the area.

MT though that this campaign idea could be taken further, she gave an example of taking her packaging back to the Farm Shop on Farndon Road and they refill it. It was expressed that this should be encouraged where possible, glass milk-bottles from Kirby&West was another example. There were many possibilities for recycling that could emerge in the area of packaging.

2. DW & MT gave feedback from TT training course, it was particularly good as a networking opportunity. MT found the discussion on personal development required for the transition very useful.

3. MT suggested it would be good to have a series of meetings addressing very practical issues, with an emphasis on learning to do things together.

The first topic will be ‘How to choose your energy provider ‘ , it will held on November 6th 7.30pm at Mill House, 59a, High Street, Naseby.

Phone Marion 01604 743201 for more details. Please take along your list of questions to ask a potential energy provider.

Next topic will be ‘Good & Bad Fuel Sources For The Home’ on Thursday November 22. Suggested to be an advertised open meeting. Action: MT

SC asked for a designated facilitator at these meetings to capture the main points and write-up the key messages. Action: MT

There was a discussion on light bulbs, good bulbs and bad bulbs and a count of the number of bulbs in Simon’s kitchen. It was thought to be a good activity for everyone and to take along the results on November 6th. Action: All

4. DW has been trying to find out the total electricity demand for MH and to get the breakdown to industrial/commercial/domestic usage. This would be informative, a yardstick for measuring energy usage changes and savings. It could form the basis of an article in the H. Mail. Action : DW
