Transition town Market Harborough

In September 2007 Market Harborough became the 22nd community in the UK to successfully meet the criteria needed to start the process of being a transition community.Transition Announcement
We are the second community, after Nottingham, in the East Midlands and the first in Leicestershire to undertake this process closely followed by the City of Leicester.
The steering group consists of

Councillors Alistair Swatridge, Paul Bremner and Dr Sarah Hill have also expressed interests in becoming involved. We have forged many links with other local groups and look forwards to developing joint projects in the near future.
