Hi there guys,

Just a quick update on what went on last night at the movie showing to keep you all in the loop.

Firstly a big thanks to Simon for his time and efforts in reworking, printing and folding the leaflet's in time for the showing, I am sure that you will all agree that his version reads in a much easier fassion than my stilted attempt.

The showing yesterday was attended by, in my estimation, 50 or so people which according to Annie meant that they had covered their costs of putting the film on. The size is about right for maybe our fist couple of events so I will contact them to see when we might be able to show our first film.

The film was as dramatic as ever and they showed it along with the 30 minute update and a 3 minute FOE DVD. About a dozen people left after the film (missed leafletting oppertunities) but a good number remained for the Q&A session.

The panel consisted of a County councillor who's name I missed but Marion has his details, local councillor Alistair Swatridge, FOE campaigner Robyn who's surname I missed, FOE MH Charles Openheimer and Reverend Andrew Quigley who is the local C of E dioces (sp) environmental officer (or words to that effect).

After their initial comments an animated discussion ensued on a number of issues including housing (led by my socialist friend Andrew) until a heart felt interjection by Marion who broached the subject of working together and raised the issue of our 'Transition town' process which I had been trying to work out a way of getting in.

As a result as people left they seemed keen to take the leaflet's from me... let us hope that it brings in some responces.

Thank you to Simon and his partner, Marion and Lydya for attending and also a big thanks again on the behalf of us and the FOE MH to Alistair for his participation.

Best regards

Darren
