DISCUSSION WITH JIM JACOBS ABOUT APPLYING FOR FUNDS FROM BOWDENS CHARITY – MARKET HARBOROUGH
I rang Jim Jacobs on Friday (4th) following Sue Smith’s suggestion to ask about applying for funding. I explained who we are our aims & objectives & the kind of activity we will want funding for – I also mentioned that we, following on from the enterprise proposal I sent through to everyone about 6 weeks ago, would probably be seeking funds to support us to establish the facites of an enterprise, including income generating work, with the aim to be financially self- sufficient within 3 years.
He mentioned:-
• They can offer funding, dependant upon the application, of up to £ 250,000 in any one year ( we wont need that much) • Any amount would need to be 50% match funded • They can fund salaries (ie revenue) as part of a short term project plan – i.e. our 3 self suffiency approach)
We also fit there criteria in that we operate with their geographical boundaries of Market Harborough. All very good news
So now we need to apply……
