On 23rd June at Blacon Community Centre, we will be hosting “Waste Not Want Not” an awareness raising event that will highlight ways to reduce and recycle household waste. This exciting, innovative and interactive event will include 4 different zones:

  • Make Do and Mend Zone- this zone will focus on the imaginative ways in which to make the most of your unwanted items.
  • Art Zone – will be dedicated to poetry, short films, photographs, and pieces of art all with the theme of our “Waste Not Want Not” event.
  • Food Zone –we want people to think about growing their own food, composting, allotments, making the most of leftovers.
  • Information Zone – this will provide all visitors to the event to find out more about recycling, reuse, and reducing bills and much more.
